Attraction details

Underground tourist route of the Nowa Ruda Coal Mine
The museum's four exhibition rooms house exhibits from all areas of underground mining, such as models of machinery and safety equipment along with various types of blasting charges and escape devices.

Various models of mine roof supports can also be seen here. The original control room, which used to be the mine's control centre, is also open to visitors.

Today, we can also see for ourselves the places where the New Orleans miners ripped out one of its most precious treasures to the earth. Tourists are also offered a 1.5-hour tour of the underground workings. Equipped with miners' helmets and battery-powered mining lamps, we can enter the underground mine workings, which are more than 700 m long.

The underground railway present in the mine is the first attraction of its kind in Poland, and the fourth in Europe!
