Attraction details

The Walim drifts
The underground military complex "Rzeczka" is a part of the complex of underground corridors and halls located in the Owl Mountains, which is open to the public.

The corridors were built between 1943 and 45, as a secret project of Nazi Germany, which most likely intended to place part of its arms production there. According to other sources, Hitler's headquarters and the command of the German armed forces were to be located in part of it. The underground construction project was called 'Oberbauleitung Kriese'.

The "Rzeczka" complex is 500 m of accessible corridors with impressive halls hiding the deepest darkness of World War II: prisoners from the Gross Rosen concentration camp were used in the construction of the "Riese" complex from 1944.
