Its complex consists of the main fortress, the auxiliary fort of Owcza Góra, the city ramparts (fragmentary) and field fortifications. In 1960, the fortress was officially recognised as a monument and opened to tourists. Visitors can see the huge bastions and chambers and take a guided tour through the underground mine gallery. The observation deck offers a magnificent view of Kłodzko and the Basin. In 1970, part of the shooting for the final episode of the series Four Armoured and a Dog (episode Home) was filmed in the fortress. Currently, the Fortress is open to tourists with a section of the underground route of about 1 km. Od 2006 roku w Twierdzy Kłodzkiej działa grupa rekonstrukcyjna. The group recreates the soldiers of the 47th Prussian infantry regiment from 1806. At the end of August 2006, the Kłodzko Fortress Days were held for the first time, whose regular feature since then has been the reconstruction of a battle from the Napoleonic wars period.
