We now also ensure our guests enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep and rest.

Excellent mattresses. High-quality bed linen. Peace and quiet.

Many people, worn out by the demands of daily life, struggle to fall asleep and get a good night’s sleep. We invite you to the Alhambra to rediscover healthy sleep, to regain your strength and zest for life

Healthy, nutritious, light meals; activities tailored to everyone’s needs; aromatherapy; and herbs that aid relaxation – all help to relieve the stresses of modern life.

To support this process, at Alhambra, in comfortable surroundings, you can also have your sleep and any sleep disorders assessed using modern equipment. An experienced doctor will interpret the results, and you will be able to benefit from personalised consultations.

We collaborate on sleep diagnostics with Dr Wojciech Kucharski – an internist, cardiologist and hypertension specialist from Wrocław, who has been specialising in sleep apnoea for many years.

Obstructive sleep apnoea (sleep apnoea) is a condition characterised by the interruption of airflow through the airways during sleep. This interruption is caused by obstruction of the upper airways, namely the collapse of the tongue and the soft palate. A characteristic feature of obstructive sleep apnoea is that the respiratory movements of the chest and abdominal muscles continue – the patient tries to breathe, but the blockage of the airways prevents air from entering the lungs.

Snoring is a symptom of sleep apnoea but is not the same thing. People suffering from sleep apnoea usually snore, but the reverse is not necessarily true. This means that a person who snores may or may not suffer from sleep apnoea. The sound of snoring is caused by the vibration of soft tissues in the soft palate and throat, which is triggered by the flow of air.
