Borówkowa mountain with a lookout tower
Borówkowa Mountain (its slopes are overgrown with blueberry bushes - borówki in Polish) is the highest peak - 900 m above sea level - in the northern part of the Golden Mountains. In 2006, a steel and wooden lookout tower was built on the Czech side of the border.
In the 1980s, Polish-Czechoslovak oppositionists used to meet at the site, a memorial plaque reminds us. The lookout tower, open to tourists all year round, offers beautiful views in all directions.
