Immuno diet and the immune system

The immune diet at the Alhambra Hotel is supposed to quiet our immune system. What does this look like in practice? How do we help our body's defender? I invite you to read more.

Układ odpornościowy składa się z wielu różnych komórek, narządów i białek, które współpracują ze sobą w celu zapewnienia skutecznej ochrony przed chorobami. Najważniejszymi elementami układu odpornościowego są białka przeciwciał, limfocyty oraz narządy limfatyczne, takie jak śledziona czy węzły chłonne. Białka przeciwciał są wytwarzane przez specjalne komórki układu odpornościowego w odpowiedzi na obecność patogenów. Ich zadaniem jest wiązanie się z patogenami i niszczenie ich, co pozwala na wyeliminowanie zagrożenia dla organizmu.

Lymphocytes are special cells of the immune system that detect and recognise foreign particles in the body. They are divided into two main types: B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes. B lymphocytes produce antibodies, while T lymphocytes directly destroy cells infected by pathogens.

Lymphoid organs are places where lymphocytes and other cells of the immune system proliferate and mature. The most important lymphoid organs are the spleen and the lymph nodes, which are located in various places in the body. When attacked by a pathogen, the immune system reacts quickly and mobilises its forces to combat the threat. In some cases, however, when the immune system is weakened or when the pathogen is very strong, drugs or vaccines may be needed to help increase the effectiveness of the fight against the disease.

Natural immunity is an important part of preventing disease and maintaining good health. There are various products that naturally stimulate immunity, improving the function of the immune system. In this article, we will describe a few of them.

Garlic - Garlic is a vegetable that has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It contains allicin, a chemical compound that helps increase the production of white blood cells, which speeds up the removal of bacteria and viruses from the body.

Ginger - Ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It contains gingerol, a chemical compound that stimulates the production of interferons, proteins that help fight viruses.

Cinnamon - Cinnamon contains compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Studies have shown that cinnamon can help fight bacterial and viral infections.

Honey - Honey is known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It contains enzymes that help in the fight against bacteria and viruses.

Fermented foods - Fermented foods such as yoghurt, kefir and sauerkraut contain probiotics, which help to maintain a healthy gut microflora. In this way, they strengthen the immune system, protecting against disease.

Fruits and vegetables - Fruits and vegetables are a source of many nutrients and antioxidants that help to strengthen the immune system. They should be consumed on a daily basis to provide the body with the right amount of vitamins and minerals.
